Did not work for state institutions due to a political decision by Syrian security agencies, contrary to Law 49/1974 governing the work of engineers.
Operated his own private office for engineering studies and works since being approved for membership in the Engineers Syndicate in 1982.
Secretary-General of the Arab Democratic Socialist Union Party in Syria.
Member of the Executive Office and Head of the Foreign Relations Office of the National Coordination Committee for Democratic Change.
Member of the Small Group in the Constitutional Committee.
