Highlighting the Syrian Issue and Promoting a Political Solution
The President of the SNC, Dr. Bader Jamous, is participating in the “Middle East Forum 2024”

At the invitation of the Middle East Research Foundation, the President of the Syrian Negotiation Commission, Dr. Badr Jamous, will participate in the “Middle East Forum 2024,” which will be held on October 29 and 30 in Erbil, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He will present a session titled “The Future of Syria: Prospects for Peace and Reconstruction,” which will be moderated by Patrick Heine, a consultant at the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue.
This forum will feature a large gathering of influential officials and politicians at both the regional and international levels, as well as members of the Iraqi parliament, Iraqi and Arab officials and diplomats, ambassadors from Western countries, and representatives from international organizations.
The President of the Commission will participate in a session aimed at highlighting the Syrian issue, the latest regional and international developments related to the political solution, and mobilizing public opinion on the importance of advancing the political solution and not obstructing United Nations resolutions related to the Syrian issue.
On the sidelines of the forum, the President of the Syrian Negotiation Commission will hold meetings with leaders in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, aiming to develop relations and exchange views on the political solution and the most effective means to promote it and halt the Syrian tragedy. He will also conduct a consultative meeting with Syrian elites to update them on the latest political developments and international changes regarding the Syrian file.
The Middle East Forum is the leading annual event for political dialogue in Iraq, focusing primarily on current policy priorities, constantly changing regional dynamics, and available opportunities for international engagement and cooperation. It brings together local, national, and international policymakers, academics, opinion leaders, and civil society activists.
