On Monday, Dr. Badr Jamous, the President of the Syrian Negotiation Commission, convened a consultative meeting with political parties and Syrian elites in Erbil. The meeting focused on reviewing the diplomatic and political efforts of the Commission aimed at advancing the political process. Discussions centered on enhancing dialogue and cooperation between the Commission, Syrian civil society, and political parties, with the goal of establishing a strategic partnership that supports national objectives and a political resolution.

Dr. Jamous provided a comprehensive overview of the current international and regional contexts, highlighting the latest developments in the Syrian political process. He discussed the various meetings and diplomatic, political, and legal initiatives undertaken by the Commission to promote a political track leading to an inclusive solution grounded in international resolutions, particularly the Geneva Statement and UN Resolutions 2118 and 2254.
