A delegation from the Syrian Negotiation Commission, headed by President Dr. Badr Jamous, met yesterday, Thursday, in New York with the Director-General for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of Slovenia, Mateja Norčič Štamcar. They discussed ways to cooperate to ensure a political solution in Syria in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2254.

President Jamous spoke about the developments in the political process in Syria, the impact of the disruption of this process on Syrians both inside and outside the country, the deteriorating economic, humanitarian, and educational conditions in Syria, and the urgent need for Syrians to have a political solution in accordance with international resolutions that would end their suffering.
