•Member of the Negotiation Commission for the Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces.

•Enrolled in the Military Academy in 1976 and graduated in 1979 as a Lieutenant, assigned to the Military Intelligence Division as a Major and continued until his defection in 2012 as a Brigadier General with 8 years in rank.

•Previously served as Head of the Anti-Espionage and Terrorism Department in the Intelligence Division in Damascus.

•Held military and security positions in Lebanon from 1982 to 2005.

•Defected from the Syrian regime in 2012 and sought refuge in Jordan, where he still resides.
