Emphasizing the importance of Syrian unity and cooperation to build a state of citizenship
A delegation from the SNC meets with Sheikh Al-Hijri

A delegation from the Syrian Negotiating Commission met today, Saturday, in Sweida with the spiritual leader of the Druze Unitarian community, Sheikh Hikmat Al-Hijri, and discussed the importance of the unity of the Syrians, land and people, the diversity and richness that characterizes Syria, and the necessity of cooperation with the new Syrian administration to build a state of citizenship and law that preserves the rights of all in an environment of peace and security.
The head of the SNC, Dr. Bader Jamous, stressed the necessity of joint work at the present time between all segments of Syrian society to enhance coexistence and build a modern state of Syria that guarantees security, dignity and freedom for all.
During the meeting, Jamous pointed out the importance of diversity in Syrian society, which is a source of wealth and strength for Syria, and the necessity of enhancing the values of tolerance and mutual respect among all and enhancing democracy, and the body’s commitment to deepening the values of national unity, peace and dialogue among all Syrians, and its keenness to involve everyone without discrimination or exclusion in shaping Syria’s bright future.
This visit to Sweida by the head of the Syrian Negotiating Commission, Dr. Bader Jamous, and the head of the National Coalition, Mr. Hadi Al-Bahra, comes to confirm the unity of Syrian lands after the Syrians’ liberation from the defunct Assad regime, and to confirm that all Syrians are brothers and one family that supports the efforts of the new leadership to establish security and safety and build a modern Syria, the homeland of all Syrians, and a state of justice, equal rights and duties.
